Negatives in French

Put NE before the verb and PAS after it to form the negative in French.  Ne becomes  n’ in front of a vowel.
Eg:
Je ne suis pas    I am not
Je n’ai pas          I do not have

Nothing and Never:
Je n’ai rien                  I have nothing
Je ne mange jamais    I never eat
